Summer Cocktail Series - The El Guapo Salted Paloma Recipe
Updated: 5 days ago
I love a good summertime cocktail, anything to cool off from the tropical heat of New Orleans.

It's currently 92º as I write this and by my guesstimate, the humidity is about 134%. If you love being hot, sweaty and hot (it's really hot here), then a New Orleans summer is right up your alley. I should work for the NOLA tourism board, lol.
House of Modern Vintage recently started carrying some of the El Guapo Bitters line so this week we're showcasing their version of the The Salted Paloma, made with their own mix. This version was created by El Guapo visionary Christa Cotton. I'm a sucker for any and all women owned businesses, especially one based in New Orleans.
The El Guapo Salted Paloma Recipe
Makes one cocktail • 2 oz El Guapo® Salted Paloma Mixer • 2 oz blanco tequila • Ice • Grapefruit wheel or wedge, for garnish
In a shaker filled with ice, combine mixer and tequila. Shake until well chilled and strain into a lowball over ice.
Garnish with grapefruit wheel or wedge before serving.
Cheers!
So snag a bottle here and try Christa's delicious Paloma or get creative and make your own version!
